Paid bed nights

164,000 registered bed nights

In June 2021, 164,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Møre Og Romsdal (-0.1 %), of which 155,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 8,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased one percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 11 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased less than one percent from last year's June.

48,700 nights (+15.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 30,200 nights (-0.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 379,000 registered bed nights (+4.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 47,100 (-1.0 %) for foreigners in Møre Og Romsdal, in total 426,000 (+3.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.8 million registered bed nights (+18.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.6 million nights (+18.5 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 143,000 nights (+11.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Møre Og Romsdal out of total registered bed nights was 5.9 % (-1.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 5.9 % and foreign bed nights 6.0 %.

Length of stay increased four percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased four percent compared to earlier year. In Møre Og Romsdal, length of stay in June was on average 2.1 nights and in Norway 2.2 nights (+6.9 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Møre Og Romsdal on average 2.0 nights (+14.5 %) and foreigners 3.5 nights (+39.3 %).

79,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased four percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.9 percent were domestic, and 3.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Møre Og Romsdal on average 2.0 nights (+0.07) and foreigners 3.5 nights (+0.38).
