Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 87 percent

In March 2022, 78,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Møre Og Romsdal (+86.6 %), of which 70,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 8,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 95 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 37 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 87 percent from last year's March.

27,100 nights (+163.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 32,400 nights (+52.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 161,000 registered bed nights (+75.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 18,200 (-16.8 %) for foreigners in Møre Og Romsdal, in total 179,000 (+57.4 %) registered nights.

Market share 3.4 percent

Total of 2.3 million registered bed nights (+142.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.8 million nights (+110.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 507,000 nights (+443.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Møre Og Romsdal out of total registered bed nights was 3.4 % (-1.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 3.9 % and foreign bed nights 1.7 %.

Length of stay was 1.9 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 24 percent compared to earlier year. In Møre Og Romsdal, length of stay in March was on average 1.9 nights and in Norway 2.1 nights (-23.5 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Møre Og Romsdal on average 1.9 nights (-14.5 %) and foreigners 2.8 nights (-58.7 %).

40,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 146 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.5 percent were domestic, and 7.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Møre Og Romsdal on average 1.9 nights (-0.44) and foreigners 2.8 nights (-4.0).
