Moss Region: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased 25 percent
In August 2022, 46,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Moss Region (+24.9 %), of which 44,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 23 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 110 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 25 percent from last year's August.
5,100 nights (+1.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 4,500 nights (+23.1 %) by business visitors.
Between January and August, 216,000 registered bed nights (+36.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 10,000 (+266.5 %) for foreigners in Moss Region, in total 226,000 (+40.5 %) registered nights.

9,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased seven percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 88.8 percent were domestic, and 11.2 percent were from foreign countries.
During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Moss Region on average 5.4 nights (+0.94) and foreigners 1.8 nights (+0.21).
