Registered bed nights increased 37 percent

In September 2021, 9,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Motala (+37.1 %), of which 7,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 31 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 76 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 37 percent from last year's September.

2,000 rooms (+57.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,000 rooms (+5.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 91,500 registered bed nights (+11.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 9,800 (+115.3 %) for foreigners in Motala, in total 101,000 (+16.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Motala out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

4,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 41 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.7 percent were domestic, and 13.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Motala on average 1.8 nights (-0.04) and foreigners 2.4 nights (-0.68).
