Registered bed nights increased 78 percent

In December 2021, 3,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Motala (+77.6 %), of which 3,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 270 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 74 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 123 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 78 percent from last year's December.

890 rooms (+377.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,000 rooms (+107.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 103,000 registered bed nights (+14.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 11,600 (+120.1 %) for foreigners in Motala, in total 115,000 (+20.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Motala out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

1,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 154 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.7 percent were domestic, and 8.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Motala on average 1.9 nights (-0.81) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-0.6).
