Registered bed nights increased 45 percent

In April 2021, 3,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Motala (+44.6 %), of which 3,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 160 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 43 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 103 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 45 percent from last year's April.

600 rooms (+314.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 730 rooms (-0.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 9,100 registered bed nights (-14.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 310 (-68.7 %) for foreigners in Motala, in total 9,400 (-18.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+90.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Motala out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

1,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 75 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.9 percent were domestic, and 4.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Motala on average 2.1 nights (-0.4) and foreigners 2.4 nights (-3.2).
