Registered bed nights increased 26 percent

In December 2018, 2,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Motala (+26.4 %), of which 2,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 20 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 97 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 26 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (124 nights).

370 rooms (+30.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 940 rooms (+21.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 77,800 registered bed nights (+0.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 15,800 (+26.7 %) for foreigners in Motala, in total 93,600 (+4.1 %) registered nights.

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 40 percent compared to earlier year. In Motala, length of stay in December was on average 2.4 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (-0.1 %).

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Motala on average 2.3 nights (+10.0 %) and foreigners 3.1 nights (+3.4 %).
