Registered bed nights increased 116 percent

In April 2021, 1,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Munkedal (+115.7 %), of which 1,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 157 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 104 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 320 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 116 percent from last year's April.

520 rooms (+86.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 360 rooms (+92.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 3,800 registered bed nights (-18.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 420 (-61.8 %) for foreigners in Munkedal, in total 4,200 (-26.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+90.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Munkedal out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

970 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 100 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.3 percent were domestic, and 6.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Munkedal on average 1.5 nights (+0.07) and foreigners 2.4 nights (+0.57).
