Namdalen: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased 27 percent
In February 2022, 7,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Namdalen (+26.5 %), of which 7,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 440 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 23 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 118 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 27 percent from last year's February.
1,700 nights (+109.4 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,000 nights (-0.8 %) by business visitors.
Between January and February, 13,200 registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 600 (+64.9 %) for foreigners in Namdalen, in total 13,800 (+31.8 %) registered nights.

3,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 12 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.5 percent were domestic, and 4.5 percent were from foreign countries.
During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Namdalen on average 2.6 nights (+0.33) and foreigners 3.3 nights (-5.6).

Registered accommodation sales in February were 4.2 million crowns (+885,000).
Registered January-February sales were 7.0 million crowns and they increased 1.2 million euro from the previous year.
