Registered bed nights increased two percent

In August 2020, 10,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Nora (+2.4 %), of which 10,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 11 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 61 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased two percent from last year's August.

1,400 rooms (+30.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 69 rooms (-87.7 %) by business visitors.

Total of 6.1 million registered bed nights (-31.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.4 million nights (-10.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 615,000 nights (-77.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Nora out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased one percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased one percent compared to earlier year. In Nora, length of stay in August was on average 2.1 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (+6.0 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nora on average 2.1 nights and foreigners 1.4 nights .

5,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased two percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.0 percent were domestic, and 7.0 percent were from foreign countries.
