Registered bed nights increased 79 percent

In February 2022, 17,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Nord-Gudbrandsdal (+79.0 %), of which 9,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 7,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 13,900 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 79 percent from last year's February.

7,700 nights (+91.4 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,900 nights (+39.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 14,400 registered bed nights (+12.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 8,500 (+5,952.9 %) for foreigners in Nord-Gudbrandsdal, in total 22,800 (+76.5 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.0 percent

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+92.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (+56.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 466,000 nights (+432.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Nord-Gudbrandsdal out of total registered bed nights was 1.0 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.7 % and foreign bed nights 1.7 %.

5,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 79 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 72.7 percent were domestic, and 27.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nord-Gudbrandsdal on average 2.1 nights (-0.75) and foreigners 4.9 nights (+3.0).
