15,600 registered bed nights

In May 2020, 15,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Nord-Gudbrandsdal (-50.9 %), of which 15,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 260 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 39 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 96 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 51 percent from last year's May.

4,900 nights (-59.4 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 890 nights (-51.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 31,500 registered bed nights (-58.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 15,800 (-45.2 %) for foreigners in Nord-Gudbrandsdal, in total 47,200 (-55.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 1.0 million registered bed nights (-62.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 959,000 nights (-51.5 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 70,600 nights (-90.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Nord-Gudbrandsdal out of total registered bed nights was 1.5 % (+0.4 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

Length of stay was 2.0 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased seven percent compared to earlier year. In Nord-Gudbrandsdal, length of stay in May was on average 2.0 nights and in Norway 2.7 nights (+46.1 %).

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nord-Gudbrandsdal on average 2.0 nights (-9.8 %) and foreigners 1.6 nights (+74.9 %).

7,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 47 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.9 percent were domestic, and 2.1 percent were from foreign countries.
