Nord-Troms Region: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased four percent
In August 2022, 27,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Nord-Troms Region (+3.8 %), of which 13,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 13,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 23 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 57 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased four percent from last year's August.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (3,800 nights).
5,900 nights (+11.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,000 nights (-4.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and August, 67,900 registered bed nights (-27.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 72,500 (+255.1 %) for foreigners in Nord-Troms Region, in total 140,000 (+22.5 %) registered nights.

13,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 10 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 39.0 percent were domestic, and 61.0 percent were from foreign countries.
During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nord-Troms Region on average 2.6 nights (+0.37) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-0.37).

Registered accommodation sales in August were 4.9 million crowns (+955,000).
Registered January-August sales were 32.1 million crowns and they increased 6.3 million crowns from the previous year.
