Paid bed nights

6,500 registered bed nights

In February 2021, 6,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Nord-Troms Region (-42.1 %), of which 6,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 181 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 31 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 97 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 42 percent from last year's February.

2,200 nights (-68.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 530 nights (-40.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 11,300 registered bed nights (+132.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 630 (-90.2 %) for foreigners in Nord-Troms Region, in total 11,900 (+5.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 923,000 registered bed nights (-58.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 836,000 nights (-46.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 87,600 nights (-86.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Nord-Troms Region out of total registered bed nights was 0.7 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.8 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay increased 94 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 94 percent compared to earlier year. In Nord-Troms Region, length of stay in February was on average 4.5 nights and in Norway 2.6 nights (+31.2 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nord-Troms Region on average 4.6 nights (+100.1 %) and foreigners 3.3 nights (+106.2 %).

1,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 70 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.2 percent were domestic, and 3.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nord-Troms Region on average 4.6 nights (+2.2) and foreigners 3.3 nights (+0.99).
