Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 790 percent

In April 2021, 8,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Nord-Troms Region (+792.2 %), of which 7,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 550 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 780 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 980 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 790 percent from last year's April.

3,400 nights were spend by leisure visitors and 770 nights by business visitors.

Between January and April, 26,000 registered bed nights (+293.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,300 (-83.1 %) for foreigners in Nord-Troms Region, in total 27,200 (+92.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 883,000 registered bed nights (+166.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 788,000 nights (+184.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 94,300 nights (+75.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Nord-Troms Region out of total registered bed nights was 1.0 % (+0.7 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.0 % and foreign bed nights 0.6 %.

Length of stay was 4.5 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 39 percent compared to earlier year. In Nord-Troms Region, length of stay in April was on average 4.5 nights and in Norway 2.8 nights (-3.0 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nord-Troms Region on average 4.5 nights (+52.6 %) and foreigners 4.5 nights (+79.1 %).

1,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 1,400 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.6 percent were domestic, and 6.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nord-Troms Region on average 4.5 nights (-2.7) and foreigners 4.5 nights (-5.7).
