Registered bed nights increased 20 percent

In February 2022, 9,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Nordfjord (+20.1 %), of which 9,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 162 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 20 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 31 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 20 percent from last year's February.

5,200 nights (+23.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,400 nights (+92.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 14,100 registered bed nights (+13.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 490 (+42.4 %) for foreigners in Nordfjord, in total 14,600 (+14.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.5 percent

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+92.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (+56.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 466,000 nights (+432.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Nordfjord out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (-0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.7 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

4,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 35 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.1 percent were domestic, and 1.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nordfjord on average 2.0 nights (-0.22) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-3.6).

Registered January-February sales were 9.0 million crowns and they increased 2.9 million euro from the previous year.
