84,700 registered bed nights

In August 2022, 84,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Nordfjord (-9.8 %), of which 41,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 42,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 42 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 100 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 10 percent from last year's August.

29,600 nights (-0.8 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,500 nights (+11.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 225,000 registered bed nights (-33.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 135,000 (+304.7 %) for foreigners in Nordfjord, in total 360,000 (-3.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.6 percent

Total of 5.2 million registered bed nights (+18.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.2 million nights (-8.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.9 million nights (+129.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Nordfjord out of total registered bed nights was 1.6 % (-0.5 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.3 % and foreign bed nights 2.2 %.

44,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased nine percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 44.3 percent were domestic, and 55.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nordfjord on average 2.1 nights (+0.19) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-0.12).
