Paid bed nights

35,700 registered bed nights

In March 2023, 35,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Nordmøre And Romsdal (-7.0 %), of which 33,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased six percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 13 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased seven percent from last year's March.

11,100 nights (-28.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 12,300 nights (-6.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 82,700 registered bed nights (-2.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,400 (+16.1 %) for foreigners in Nordmøre And Romsdal, in total 89,100 (-1.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.5 percent

Total of 2.4 million registered bed nights (+2.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.8 million nights (+0.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 554,000 nights (+9.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Nordmøre And Romsdal out of total registered bed nights was 1.5 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.8 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

Length of stay was 1.7 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 12 percent compared to earlier year. In Nordmøre And Romsdal, length of stay in March was on average 1.7 nights and in Norway 2.0 nights (-6.1 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nordmøre And Romsdal on average 1.7 nights (-12.4 %) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-20.4 %).

21,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased five percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.7 percent were domestic, and 6.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nordmøre And Romsdal on average 1.7 nights (-0.2) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-0.7).
