Registered bed nights increased 940 percent

In January 2022, 17,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Norefjell Region (+944.0 %), of which 9,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 8,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 500 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 7,000 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 940 percent from last year's January.

15,000 nights were spend by leisure visitors and 780 nights by business visitors.

Total of 1.2 million registered bed nights (+51.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 888,000 nights (+35.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 292,000 nights (+132.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Norefjell Region out of total registered bed nights was 1.5 % (+1.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.1 % and foreign bed nights 2.8 %.

Length of stay was 3.0 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 70 percent compared to earlier year. In Norefjell Region, length of stay in January was on average 3.0 nights and in Norway 2.3 nights (-17.7 %).

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Norefjell Region on average 2.4 nights and foreigners 4.1 nights .

6,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 3,400 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 66.7 percent were domestic, and 33.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Norefjell Region on average 2.4 nights (-7.4) and foreigners 4.1 nights (-6.5).
