Registered bed nights increased 17 percent
In October 2021, 132,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Norrbotten County (+16.6 %), of which 106,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 25,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 16 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 21 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 17 percent from last year's October.
Between January and October, 1.5 million registered bed nights (+18.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 307,000 (-12.2 %) for foreigners in Norrbotten County, in total 1.8 million (+11.3 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
