Registered bed nights increased 10 percent
In February 2020, 211,000 bed nights were recorded in Norrbotten County (+10.1 %), of which 120,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 90,500 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased three percent and foreign bed nights increased 20 percent. In total, bed nights increased 10 percent from last year's February.
Between January and February, 213,000 bed nights (-0.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 156,000 (+20.4 %) for foreigners in Norrbotten County, in total 368,000 (+7.4 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
