Registered bed nights increased three percent

In August 2022, 90,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Norrköping (+3.5 %), of which 81,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 8,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 13 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased three percent from last year's August.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (2,400 nights).

21,400 rooms (-1.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 14,800 rooms (+49.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 460,000 registered bed nights (+20.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 48,100 (+60.6 %) for foreigners in Norrköping, in total 508,000 (+23.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 8.8 million registered bed nights (+5.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 6.5 million nights (-4.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.3 million nights (+44.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Norrköping out of total registered bed nights was 1.0 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

57,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased two percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.4 percent were domestic, and 7.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Norrköping on average 1.5 nights (+0.03) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-0.19).
