Registered bed nights increased 54 percent

In May 2022, 63,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Norrköping (+53.6 %), of which 58,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 54 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 46 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 54 percent from last year's May.

15,100 rooms (+79.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 19,700 rooms (+111.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 181,000 registered bed nights (+58.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 16,400 (+40.4 %) for foreigners in Norrköping, in total 197,000 (+56.7 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.2 percent

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Norrköping out of total registered bed nights was 1.2 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

43,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 80 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.1 percent were domestic, and 5.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Norrköping on average 1.4 nights (-0.21) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-1.4).
