Paid bed nights

19,600 registered bed nights

In March 2023, 19,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Norrtälje (-12.3 %), of which 18,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 16 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 95 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 12 percent from last year's March.

3,700 rooms (+20.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,300 rooms (+9.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 53,300 registered bed nights (-5.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,600 (+113.8 %) for foreigners in Norrtälje, in total 56,900 (-2.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.9 million registered bed nights (+4.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.2 million nights (+2.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 747,000 nights (+15.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Norrtälje out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 19 percent compared to earlier year. In Norrtälje, length of stay in March was on average 1.4 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-6.3 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Norrtälje on average 1.4 nights (-18.1 %) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-32.3 %).

13,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased nine percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.7 percent were domestic, and 5.3 percent were from foreign countries.
