Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 17 percent

In February 2020, 17,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Norrtälje (+16.7 %), of which 16,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 630 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 14 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 136 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 17 percent from last year's February.

3,000 rooms (+14.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,800 rooms (+15.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 32,100 registered bed nights (+1.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,100 (+90.2 %) for foreigners in Norrtälje, in total 33,200 (+3.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.4 million registered bed nights (+3.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.5 million nights (+5.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 935,000 nights (-2.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Norrtälje out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 1.8 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 12 percent compared to earlier year. In Norrtälje, length of stay in February was on average 1.8 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-3.1 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Norrtälje on average 1.9 nights (-16.6 %) and foreigners 1.7 nights (+11.2 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 33 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.1 percent were domestic, and 3.9 percent were from foreign countries.
