Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 18 percent

In June 2022, 52,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Norrtälje (+17.8 %), of which 45,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 6,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased five percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 570 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 18 percent from last year's June.

6,900 rooms (+3.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,400 rooms (+95.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 168,000 registered bed nights (+9.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 11,400 (+238.9 %) for foreigners in Norrtälje, in total 179,000 (+14.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 6.9 million registered bed nights (+39.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.2 million nights (+17.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.6 million nights (+259.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Norrtälje out of total registered bed nights was 0.8 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.9 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

Length of stay was 1.9 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 19 percent compared to earlier year. In Norrtälje, length of stay in June was on average 1.9 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-13.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Norrtälje on average 1.9 nights (-10.4 %) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-32.6 %).

27,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 46 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.7 percent were domestic, and 13.3 percent were from foreign countries.
