In August 2017, 86,400 registered bed nights were recorded in North Savonia (-0.1 %), of which 73,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 13,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased three percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 15 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased less than one percent from last year's August.
59,400 nights (-1.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 27,000 nights (+2.5 %) by business visitors.
