Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased 52 percent
In May 2021, 1.6 million registered bed nights were recorded in Norway (+51.7 %), of which 1.5 million nights were spent by domestic visitors and 103,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 52 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 45 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 52 percent from last year's May.
395,000 nights (+126.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 354,000 nights (+38.1 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 4.6 million registered bed nights (-6.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 503,000 (-67.6 %) for foreigners in Norway, in total 5.1 million (-21.1 %) registered nights.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 65 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.1 percent were domestic, and 4.9 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Norway on average 2.5 nights (-0.22) and foreigners 3.4 nights (-0.1).

Registered accommodation sales in May were 559.3 million crowns (+245.8 million).
Registered January-May sales were 2.2 billion crowns and they decreased 1.2 billion euro from the previous year.
