Registered bed nights increased four percent
In July 2021, 6.6 million registered bed nights were recorded in Norway (+3.9 %), of which 6.1 million nights were spent by domestic visitors and 549,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 14 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased four percent from last year's July.
2.5 million nights (+3.8 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 531,000 nights (-19.6 %) by business visitors.
Between January and July, 13.3 million registered bed nights (+2.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1.2 million (-44.7 %) for foreigners in Norway, in total 14.5 million (-4.6 %) registered nights.

Length of stay increased eight percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Norway, length of stay in July was on average 2.2 nights (+7.7 %).
During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Norway on average 2.2 nights (+14.6 %) and foreigners 2.0 nights (+10.8 %).
3.1 million tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased four percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.1 percent were domestic, and 8.9 percent were from foreign countries.
During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Norway on average 2.2 nights (+0.15) and foreigners 2.0 nights (+0.2).

Registered accommodation sales in July were 1.9 billion crowns (+300.7 million).
Registered January-July sales were 5.1 billion crowns and they decreased 665.0 million crowns from the previous year.
