Registered bed nights increased 167 percent

In April 2022, 2.4 million registered bed nights were recorded in Norway (+166.8 %), of which 1.9 million nights were spent by domestic visitors and 434,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 144 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 360 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 167 percent from last year's April.

917,000 nights (+325.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 580,000 nights (+113.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 5.9 million registered bed nights (+89.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1.7 million (+324.2 %) for foreigners in Norway, in total 7.6 million (+115.6 %) registered nights.

1.1 million tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 250 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 83.7 percent were domestic, and 16.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Norway on average 2.1 nights (-0.63) and foreigners 2.4 nights (-1.6).

Accommodation sales 1.3 billion crowns

Registered accommodation sales in April were 1.3 billion crowns (+916.8 million).

Registered January-April sales were 4.3 billion crowns and they increased 2.6 billion euro from the previous year.
