10,600 registered bed nights

In March 2020, 10,600 bed nights were recorded in Nyköping (-50.6 %), of which 8,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,700 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 49 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 58 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 51 percent from last year's March.

2,300 rooms (-54.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,900 rooms (-43.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 36,300 bed nights (-20.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,400 (-31.8 %) for foreigners in Nyköping, in total 42,600 (-22.5 %) nights.

Total of 2.8 million bed nights (-37.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.4 million nights (-33.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 405,000 nights (-54.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Nyköping out of total bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

6,100 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 57 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 83.1 percent were domestic, and 16.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nyköping on average 1.8 nights (+0.2) and foreigners 1.6 nights (+0.31).
