Registered bed nights increased 71 percent

In December 2021, 16,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Nyköping (+70.7 %), of which 15,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 96 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 39 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 71 percent from last year's December.

4,200 rooms (+69.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,700 rooms (+82.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 250,000 registered bed nights (+31.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 35,400 (-13.7 %) for foreigners in Nyköping, in total 286,000 (+23.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Nyköping out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

11,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 108 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.1 percent were domestic, and 5.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nyköping on average 1.4 nights (-0.26) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-0.43).
