In September 2018, 26,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Nyköping (-1.1 %), of which 22,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased nine percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased one percent from last year's September.

6,700 rooms (-27.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 8,100 rooms (+29.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 225,000 registered bed nights (+0.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 32,300 (-4.7 %) for foreigners in Nyköping, in total 257,000 (+0.1 %) registered nights.
