Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased nine percent

In July 2019, 53,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Nyköping (+9.1 %), of which 41,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 12,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 66 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased nine percent from last year's July.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (2,300 nights).

12,700 rooms (+39.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,400 rooms (-12.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and July, 159,000 registered bed nights (-5.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 39,700 (+80.3 %) for foreigners in Nyköping, in total 199,000 (+4.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 13.5 million registered bed nights (+5.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 9.3 million nights (+4.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 4.2 million nights (+5.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Nyköping out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay was 1.7 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased three percent compared to earlier year. In Nyköping, length of stay in July was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (+0.3 %).

During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nyköping on average 1.7 nights (+5.4 %) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-11.6 %).

32,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 13 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 75.8 percent were domestic, and 24.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nyköping on average 1.7 nights (-0.02) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-0.19).
