Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased one percent

In February 2020, 17,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Nyköping (+1.2 %), of which 15,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased two percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased two percent. In total, registered bed nights increased one percent from last year's February.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (350 nights).

4,600 rooms (+20.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,000 rooms (-11.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 27,300 registered bed nights (-3.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,700 (-12.7 %) for foreigners in Nyköping, in total 32,000 (-4.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.4 million registered bed nights (+3.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.5 million nights (+5.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 935,000 nights (-2.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Nyköping out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay was 1.5 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased three percent compared to earlier year. In Nyköping, length of stay in February was on average 1.5 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-3.1 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nyköping on average 1.5 nights (-10.4 %) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-2.2 %).

11,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased four percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 90.5 percent were domestic, and 9.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nyköping on average 1.5 nights (-0.06) and foreigners 1.6 nights (+0.09).
