49,400 registered bed nights

In July 2020, 49,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Nyköping (-7.9 %), of which 42,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 7,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased two percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 42 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased eight percent from last year's July.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (1,300 nights).

9,600 rooms (-24.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 6,800 rooms (+27.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and July, 117,000 registered bed nights (-26.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 20,700 (-47.7 %) for foreigners in Nyköping, in total 137,000 (-30.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 9.4 million registered bed nights (-30.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 8.8 million nights (-5.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 551,000 nights (-86.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Nyköping out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 1.3 %.

Length of stay increased 11 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 11 percent compared to earlier year. In Nyköping, length of stay in July was on average 1.8 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-0.2 %).

During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nyköping on average 1.8 nights (+13.4 %) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+36.2 %).

27,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 17 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 87.8 percent were domestic, and 12.2 percent were from foreign countries.
