In December 2020, 9,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Nyköping (-45.8 %), of which 7,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 46 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 45 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 46 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (189 nights).

2,500 rooms (-51.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,600 rooms (-42.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 191,000 registered bed nights (-26.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 41,000 (-42.9 %) for foreigners in Nyköping, in total 232,000 (-30.4 %) registered nights.
