Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 14 percent

In March 2021, 12,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Nyköping (+14.2 %), of which 9,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased five percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 65 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 14 percent from last year's March.

2,800 rooms (+27.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,600 rooms (-4.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 23,800 registered bed nights (-34.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 7,400 (+16.9 %) for foreigners in Nyköping, in total 31,200 (-26.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+2.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+11.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (-46.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Nyköping out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 1.3 %.

Length of stay was 1.9 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased one percent compared to earlier year. In Nyköping, length of stay in March was on average 1.9 nights and in Sweden 3.2 nights (+21.8 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nyköping on average 1.9 nights (+20.2 %) and foreigners 1.6 nights (+14.6 %).

6,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 15 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 73.9 percent were domestic, and 26.1 percent were from foreign countries.
