Registered bed nights increased 26 percent

In May 2022, 10,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Nynäshamn (+25.6 %), of which 9,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 20 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 93 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 26 percent from last year's May.

1,700 rooms (+9.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,800 rooms (+72.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 26,200 registered bed nights (+2.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,900 (+24.1 %) for foreigners in Nynäshamn, in total 29,000 (+3.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Nynäshamn out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

6,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 48 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.6 percent were domestic, and 13.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nynäshamn on average 1.7 nights (-0.21) and foreigners 1.4 nights (-1.5).
