Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 12 percent

In August 2019, 15,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Nynäshamn (+12.1 %), of which 14,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 18 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 19 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 12 percent from last year's August.

2,700 rooms (+8.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,800 rooms (-0.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 73,800 registered bed nights (+8.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 14,700 (+27.1 %) for foreigners in Nynäshamn, in total 88,500 (+11.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 8.9 million registered bed nights (+3.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 6.1 million nights (+4.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.8 million nights (+3.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Nynäshamn out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased seven percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased seven percent compared to earlier year. In Nynäshamn, length of stay in August was on average 2.8 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (+0.4 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nynäshamn on average 2.6 nights (+10.4 %) and foreigners 5.7 nights (-7.6 %).

5,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased five percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.3 percent were domestic, and 5.7 percent were from foreign countries.
