Registered bed nights increased 134 percent

In May 2022, 4,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Ockelbo (+134.2 %), of which 4,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 64 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 131 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 3,100 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 134 percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (36 nights).

26 rooms (-67.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 85 rooms (-10.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 11,200 registered bed nights (+83.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 179 (+2,137.5 %) for foreigners in Ockelbo, in total 11,300 (+86.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Ockelbo out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

1,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 173 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.2 percent were domestic, and 1.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ockelbo on average 2.5 nights (-0.39) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+0.06).
