Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 21 percent

In June 2019, 7,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Ockelbo (+21.1 %), of which 6,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 290 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 18 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 162 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 21 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (124 nights).

200 rooms (+145.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 117 rooms (+1,070.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 17,200 registered bed nights (+11.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 570 (+185.5 %) for foreigners in Ockelbo, in total 17,700 (+13.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 7.1 million registered bed nights (+7.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.0 million nights (+8.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.1 million nights (+5.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Ockelbo out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay increased 18 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 18 percent compared to earlier year. In Ockelbo, length of stay in June was on average 2.8 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (+4.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ockelbo on average 2.9 nights (+1.0 %) and foreigners 1.9 nights (+22.4 %).

2,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased three percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.9 percent were domestic, and 6.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ockelbo on average 2.9 nights (+0.49) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-0.66).
