Registered bed nights increased 14 percent

In February 2022, 12,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Oppdal (+13.7 %), of which 12,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 10 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 950 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 14 percent from last year's February.

3,000 nights (+20.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,300 nights (+45.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 17,800 registered bed nights (+20.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 690 (+418.0 %) for foreigners in Oppdal, in total 18,500 (+23.6 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.7 percent

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+92.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (+56.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 466,000 nights (+432.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Oppdal out of total registered bed nights was 0.7 % (-0.5 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.9 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

4,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 53 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.7 percent were domestic, and 3.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Oppdal on average 2.7 nights (-0.99) and foreigners 3.3 nights (+1.6).
