Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased seven percent

In July 2021, 45,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Oppdal (+7.4 %), of which 43,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased nine percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 13 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased seven percent from last year's July.

13,900 nights (+16.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 5,600 nights (+15.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and July, 100,000 registered bed nights (+13.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,500 (-39.3 %) for foreigners in Oppdal, in total 103,000 (+11.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 6.6 million registered bed nights (+3.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 6.1 million nights (+3.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 549,000 nights (+14.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Oppdal out of total registered bed nights was 0.7 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.7 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay was 1.8 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. In Oppdal, length of stay in July was on average 1.8 nights and in Norway 2.2 nights (+7.7 %).

During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Oppdal on average 1.8 nights (+13.1 %) and foreigners 1.5 nights (-35.6 %).

25,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 10 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.1 percent were domestic, and 4.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Oppdal on average 1.8 nights (-0.01) and foreigners 1.5 nights (-0.7).
