Registered bed nights increased 52 percent

In January 2022, 5,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Oppdal (+52.0 %), of which 5,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 187 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 51 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 120 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 52 percent from last year's January.

1,100 nights (+28.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,700 nights (+49.4 %) by business visitors.

Total of 1.2 million registered bed nights (+51.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 888,000 nights (+35.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 292,000 nights (+132.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Oppdal out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased eight percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Oppdal, length of stay in January was on average 3.2 nights and in Norway 2.3 nights (-17.7 %).

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Oppdal on average 3.2 nights and foreigners 2.4 nights .

1,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 41 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.7 percent were domestic, and 4.3 percent were from foreign countries.
