Registered bed nights increased 16 percent

In August 2022, 191,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Örebro County (+16.0 %), of which 151,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 39,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 13 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 28 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 16 percent from last year's August.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (12,300 nights).

26,000 rooms (+12.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 26,800 rooms (+22.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 801,000 registered bed nights (+20.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 170,000 (+128.8 %) for foreigners in Örebro County, in total 971,000 (+31.8 %) registered nights.

Market share 2.2 percent

Total of 8.8 million registered bed nights (+5.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 6.5 million nights (-4.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.3 million nights (+44.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Örebro County out of total registered bed nights was 2.2 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.3 % and foreign bed nights 1.7 %.

92,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 15 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 82.8 percent were domestic, and 17.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Örebro County on average 2.0 nights (+0.03) and foreigners 2.5 nights (-0.08).
