106,000 registered bed nights

In May 2019, 106,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Örebro County (-1.1 %), of which 90,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 14,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased one percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 12 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased one percent from last year's May.

17,300 rooms (+26.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 31,100 rooms (+4.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 330,000 registered bed nights (+6.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 43,900 (-9.2 %) for foreigners in Örebro County, in total 374,000 (+4.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.3 million registered bed nights (+3.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.1 million nights (+6.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.3 million nights (-5.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Örebro County out of total registered bed nights was 2.0 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.2 % and foreign bed nights 1.2 %.

Length of stay was 1.6 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Örebro County, length of stay in May was on average 1.6 nights and in Sweden 1.8 nights (-5.1 %).

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Örebro County on average 1.6 nights (-2.5 %) and foreigners 1.9 nights (+7.6 %).

64,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 87.9 percent were domestic, and 12.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Örebro County on average 1.6 nights (-0.18) and foreigners 1.9 nights (+0.12).
