Paid bed nights

34,100 registered bed nights

In March 2021, 34,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Örebro County (-7.5 %), of which 32,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased eight percent and registered foreign bed nights increased two percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased eight percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (360 nights).

6,800 rooms (+6.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 13,900 rooms (-14.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 86,700 registered bed nights (-40.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,200 (-65.2 %) for foreigners in Örebro County, in total 91,000 (-42.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+2.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+11.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (-46.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Örebro County out of total registered bed nights was 1.2 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.8 %.

Length of stay increased 10 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 10 percent compared to earlier year. In Örebro County, length of stay in March was on average 1.9 nights and in Sweden 3.2 nights (+21.8 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Örebro County on average 1.9 nights (+14.8 %) and foreigners 2.7 nights (+4.3 %).

17,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 16 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.2 percent were domestic, and 3.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Örebro County on average 1.9 nights (+0.15) and foreigners 2.7 nights (+0.72).
