Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 104 percent

In December 2021, 50,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Örebro County (+103.5 %), of which 47,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 101 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 151 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 104 percent from last year's December.

11,600 rooms (+114.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 18,200 rooms (+104.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 933,000 registered bed nights (+10.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 95,200 (+80.3 %) for foreigners in Örebro County, in total 1.0 million (+14.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Örebro County out of total registered bed nights was 1.5 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.7 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

Length of stay was 1.6 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 14 percent compared to earlier year. In Örebro County, length of stay in December was on average 1.6 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (-24.9 %).

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Örebro County on average 1.6 nights (-0.8 %) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-12.1 %).

31,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 137 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.3 percent were domestic, and 4.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Örebro County on average 1.6 nights (-0.28) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-0.02).
