Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 42 percent

In February 2022, 44,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Örebro County (+42.3 %), of which 41,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 38 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 169 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 42 percent from last year's February.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (560 nights).

9,500 rooms (+49.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 15,900 rooms (+33.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 73,700 registered bed nights (+35.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,400 (+123.1 %) for foreigners in Örebro County, in total 79,100 (+39.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+10.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (-3.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 571,000 nights (+159.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Örebro County out of total registered bed nights was 1.5 % (+0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.8 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

Length of stay was 1.6 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 12 percent compared to earlier year. In Örebro County, length of stay in February was on average 1.6 nights and in Sweden 2.0 nights (-34.6 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Örebro County on average 1.6 nights (-11.2 %) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-11.4 %).

28,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 61 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.9 percent were domestic, and 6.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Örebro County on average 1.6 nights (-0.21) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-0.29).
