Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 89 percent

In March 2022, 64,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Örebro County (+88.9 %), of which 60,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 86 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 139 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 89 percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (880 nights).

12,900 rooms (+90.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 27,700 rooms (+99.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 134,000 registered bed nights (+54.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 9,800 (+130.1 %) for foreigners in Örebro County, in total 144,000 (+57.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.7 million registered bed nights (+28.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.1 million nights (+15.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 645,000 nights (+195.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Örebro County out of total registered bed nights was 1.7 % (+0.5 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.9 % and foreign bed nights 0.7 %.

Length of stay was 1.7 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 13 percent compared to earlier year. In Örebro County, length of stay in March was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 2.0 nights (-38.6 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Örebro County on average 1.6 nights (-11.9 %) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-13.8 %).

38,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 117 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.9 percent were domestic, and 5.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Örebro County on average 1.6 nights (-0.25) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-0.48).
