Registered bed nights increased 22 percent

In September 2021, 44,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Örebro (+22.3 %), of which 42,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 23 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 18 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 22 percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (530 nights).

10,700 rooms (+18.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 17,200 rooms (+12.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 358,000 registered bed nights (-1.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 28,100 (+25.2 %) for foreigners in Örebro, in total 386,000 (+0.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Örebro out of total registered bed nights was 1.1 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

27,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 22 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.3 percent were domestic, and 5.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Örebro on average 1.7 nights (+0.02) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-0.48).
