Registered bed nights increased 92 percent

In May 2022, 62,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Örebro (+92.1 %), of which 57,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 84 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 270 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 92 percent from last year's May.

10,500 rooms (+93.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 23,500 rooms (+124.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 193,000 registered bed nights (+66.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 15,300 (+183.7 %) for foreigners in Örebro, in total 209,000 (+71.9 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.2 percent

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Örebro out of total registered bed nights was 1.2 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

38,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 116 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.9 percent were domestic, and 8.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Örebro on average 1.6 nights (-0.2) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-0.36).
