Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased two percent

In March 2019, 48,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Örebro (+1.9 %), of which 42,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased two percent and registered foreign bed nights increased two percent. In total, registered bed nights increased two percent from last year's March.

9,900 rooms (+19.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 20,500 rooms (+10.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 115,000 registered bed nights (+1.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 15,500 (-6.9 %) for foreigners in Örebro, in total 131,000 (+0.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.5 million registered bed nights (-3.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.6 million nights (-1.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 888,000 nights (-12.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Örebro out of total registered bed nights was 1.1 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.7 %.

Length of stay was 1.7 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. In Örebro, length of stay in March was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-4.6 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Örebro on average 1.7 nights (-3.2 %) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+2.8 %).

28,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased four percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 90.2 percent were domestic, and 9.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Örebro on average 1.7 nights (-0.05) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+0.16).
