Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 10 percent

In February 2020, 47,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Örebro (+10.0 %), of which 42,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 12 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased two percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 10 percent from last year's February.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (970 nights).

9,600 rooms (+13.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 17,700 rooms (+6.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 78,400 registered bed nights (+8.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 8,600 (-10.2 %) for foreigners in Örebro, in total 87,000 (+6.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.4 million registered bed nights (+3.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.5 million nights (+5.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 935,000 nights (-2.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Örebro out of total registered bed nights was 1.1 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.6 %.

Length of stay was 1.6 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased six percent compared to earlier year. In Örebro, length of stay in February was on average 1.6 nights and in Sweden 2.4 nights (-3.1 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Örebro on average 1.6 nights (-6.6 %) and foreigners 2.4 nights (+12.8 %).

29,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 17 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.3 percent were domestic, and 7.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Örebro on average 1.6 nights (-0.14) and foreigners 2.4 nights (+0.46).
