22,500 registered bed nights

In March 2021, 22,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Örebro (-5.5 %), of which 21,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased five percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 22 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased six percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (330 nights).

4,700 rooms (+11.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 9,000 rooms (-20.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 59,200 registered bed nights (-41.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,800 (-72.2 %) for foreigners in Örebro, in total 62,000 (-44.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+2.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+11.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (-46.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Örebro out of total registered bed nights was 0.8 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.8 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

Length of stay increased 13 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 13 percent compared to earlier year. In Örebro, length of stay in March was on average 1.9 nights and in Sweden 3.2 nights (+21.8 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Örebro on average 1.9 nights (+18.8 %) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-10.2 %).

11,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 16 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.7 percent were domestic, and 4.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Örebro on average 1.9 nights (+0.22) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+0.27).
