Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 28 percent

In May 2021, 32,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Örebro (+27.5 %), of which 31,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 26 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 79 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 28 percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (520 nights).

5,200 rooms (+56.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 10,200 rooms (+33.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 116,000 registered bed nights (-16.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,400 (-52.0 %) for foreigners in Örebro, in total 121,000 (-19.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.3 million registered bed nights (+46.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.0 million nights (+45.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 291,000 nights (+65.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Örebro out of total registered bed nights was 1.0 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.0 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

Length of stay was 2.4 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 17 percent compared to earlier year. In Örebro, length of stay in May was on average 2.4 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (-5.3 %).

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Örebro on average 2.4 nights (+13.3 %) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-10.5 %).

13,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 54 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.2 percent were domestic, and 4.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Örebro on average 2.4 nights (-0.49) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-0.49).
